DIY ROSEWATER
Hope you all are enjoying your holidays and are ready to welcome in 2018! Today we are making Rosewater! Rosewater is anti-inflammatory and can help hydrate and boost skin.
You will need:
*We recommend storing your bottle in the refrigerator for extra freshness.
You will need:
- A glass spray bottle
- Distilled water
- Roses (one rose makes more than enough, but if you want a bigger batch, the more the merrier)
We are lucky enough to have a rose bush to pick our roses from, but if you don't have, we read that store bought roses are fine too! As long as there is no added scent and you rinse well before using them!
Now here's how to do it:
- Take your rose (or roses) and place the petals in a pot.
- Pour distilled water into the pot, just enough so that the petals are under water.
- On a MEDIUM flame, bring water to a simmer.
- Once at a simmer, cover the pot with a lid, turn the flame to LOW and let cook for about 20-30 minutes or until the petals have lost their color.
- Strain out the petals and pour into your bottle.
That's it!! A fun and easy way to make a luxury skin product. A great gift idea too!
*We recommend storing your bottle in the refrigerator for extra freshness.
